Friday, september 10 2004 - "Grande Bidello" is in the shops.
It will be out next October 8 "Big School janitor" the first solo CD of Sir Oliver Skardy, composer and front man of the now split up Pitura Freska (best selling Italian reggae band).
The CD, produced by alma music and distributed in the best record shops by Venus will be sold to the public at the political price of 10 Euro.

In a reggae style influenced by electronics, dance elements and one drop of rock (for the first time Skardy took care also of the guitars beside singing) Sir Oliver Skardy faces, with the usual sarcasm and the unmistakable irony, different thematic.

The songs of the album speak, in fact (partly in dialect, partly in Italian), of social clash, anti-prohibitionism, globalization, the battle between sexes, and also, as it is easy to guess from the title of the album, of the problems tied up to his daily "battleground": the school, where Skardy actually works as school janitor.

Saturday, july 10 2004 - SIR OLIVER SKARDY AT ROTOTOM REGGAE SUNSPLASH

Anticipating the release of his first solo record, expected in autumn, Sir Oliver Skardy will present his new songs Saturday July 10 on the Main Stage in Osoppo just before the show of Junior Kelly.

A compilation distributed by Wea will be produced for the occasion with the stars that participated at the Sunsplash (Steel Pulse, Bennie Man, Alpha Blondy, Luciano and many others). Sir Oliver Skardy will be present with his new single "Super skank".
